S.W.A.T. Series

The S.W.A.T Series is a learning aid for coverage of a particular problem area in depth. The DVDs from this range are specifically designed to be applicable for both the NCEA and Cambridge curricula, hence there is no differentiation between curricula on the individual products. The range of DVDs within the S.W.A.T. Series caters for different subjects at different year levels, spanning multiple year levels where applicable. We recommend that S.W.A.T. Series DVDs are purchased as soon as difficulties arise within a particular topic or learning unit as misconceptions form very quickly. These misconceptions not only impede a student's understanding of both current and future (related) work, but also become increasingly difficult to correct at a later stage.

Often a topic is not taught in a text book, covered at school, or taught correctly - Significant Figures is a good example of this. Significant Figures plays a crucial role in both Physics and Chemistry throughout both the senior year levels and at university - an answer can be completely wrong even if the working is correct if significant figures are neglected. As we acknowledge the foundational nature of topics such as Significant Figures, we aim to release a number of DVDs within the S.W.A.T. Series addressing specific deficiencies within the sphere of education. We recommend that students studying any science subject (including maths) regularly check for new releases of applicable S.W.A.T. Series DVDs as a learning aid that will help them to overcome these deficiencies.

Rapid Revision Series

The Rapid Revision Series is a revision aid for quick and thorough revision of a learning unit in preparation for examinations and tests. The range of DVDs within the Rapid Revision Series caters for different subjects at different year levels. What may have taken weeks (or even months) to cover in school (or home-school), can typically be effectively revised in a matter of hours. In our opinion there is no better, faster or more effective way to prepare for both examinations and tests. We recommend that individual DVDs from our Rapid Revision Series be purchased in order to revise the previous year's work at the onset of a new year, and also for use before tests and examination (both internal and external) in the current year of study. For example, it would be a good idea to purchase our Year 11 Mathematics (Algebra) Rapid Revision DVD for use as a revision aid for Year 11 Mathematics students for use throughout the year. It is also useful for Year 12 Mathematics students in order to revise the previous year's Algebra which will be built upon in Year 12 and even Year 13 - if a student does not remember the previous years work (or has misconceptions), they will be disadvantaged in their future studies.
